A submission guide for all you budding RAINFALL chapbook writers out there
We always welcome submissions here at Rainfall but you must remember that due to the nature of the Small Press it does take a while to get our chapbooks published. After all there's only two of us and we have the constraints of cash flow to worry about and the fact that we have to eat, sleep and exist in the mundane world on occasion. So . . . you may have to wait a while to see your work published

Payment
Unfortunately we can  only  pay contributors one  copy of the book they appear in unless it's a single author collection or a novel in which case you get more. .
We have published almost 200 chapbooks over the past three or four years and have many more waiting in the wings. These are published on a fairly regular basis and we are always looking for submissions for these in the form of poetry and short stories. We are happy to use reprints. The titles of the chapbooks are pretty self explanatory but here's a brief idea of what we're after.
LOVECRAFT'S DISCIPLES is our most successful and popular chapbook and early issues are sold out. We are after material with a Lovecraftian influence, be it in style or content. Cthulhu Mythos fiction is welcome.
Lovecraft's Disciples
The Yellow Sign
As the title suggests, this magazine is dedicated to the King in Yellow Mythos created by Robert W. Chambers. Again, short stories and poetry
Weird Worlds
Strange Sorcery
E'CH PI EL is another magazine dedicated to fiction inspired by H. P. Lovecraft and the Cthulhu Mythos but they don't have to be overtly connected with the Cthulhu Mythos.
E'ch Pi El
This chapbook features tales of magic and sorcery inspired by Clark Ashton Smith and others. Tales of magicians and sorcerers on lost worlds of space and time
WEIRD WORLDS features tales of swords and sorcery inspired by such authors as Robert E. Howard, Lin Carter, L. Sprague De Camp, John Jakes. We’re after tales of classic, pulp inspired, S&S.
Thrilling Tales
Beyond the Borderland
Startling Space Stories
We’re looking for tales inspired by the writings of William Hope Hodgson, most notably The House on the Borderland, but also The Night Land and his Sargasso Sea stories.
THRILLING TALES features tales of pulse pounding adventure in the grand tradition of the old pulps. Rousing yarns in any genre - weird western, occult detective, jungle adventure being just three examples.
features tales of astro adventure - blasters and bug-eyed aliens, ray guns and rockets. Stirring pulp flavoured science fiction inspired by old-fashioned science fiction when the future was bright.
Please send your submissions in Microsoft Word or Works format or something similar to Steve & John at rainfallrecords@doramail.com  Please remember to add your name and mailing address. If you send an email that contains nothing but a link it will be deleted. Do not suggest we peruse a website to read you work, we don't have the time.
